Toaster Launcher Dev Diary - Week 02 (July 02 - 08, 2023) - Reorganize

    I apologize for the extended delay since the weekend outing. The time has spent on resolving priority conflicts. Fortunately, it has been resolved and have continued working on the game. However, it soon became apparent that I have not disclosed enough information about the game in order for a better understanding on what to be expected. This entry will address any missing information from the previous ones and it would be much appreciated if there is anything else left out to ensure updated information in this entry.

    Toaster Launcher aims to cater a general audience with a casual or skilled approach to gaming. Supporting this are the (improved) pixel artstyle and the cartoonish approach on the objects and concepts included, such as using toast to destroy explosives in a light manner.


    The campaign will have 4 levels, each level will have 5 areas that transition seamlessly. The levels listed are:

  1. Ground
  2. Sky
  3. Space
  4. Space Station

    Assessing the current circumstances, my skills, and especially the sole development of Toaster Launcher, the main gameplay, the new features, and Endless mode would be completed before the end of 2023 while the Campaign and remaining polishes would either follow within or at the start of 2024.


    Currently on recreating the combat system, I have successfully added a firing function and projectiles and will focus on adding enemies and destruction on the following week.
